Users
may have numerous sites set up with the file
sitename-FFMTv3.0.xls. There is a new FFMT file which runs with
AutoDEPOMOD version 3 and has the capability to expand grids beyond the
previous 1km by 1 km limit. The most efficient way to convert old
FFMT files to the new format, is to copy across the essential
information from the Cage Layout sheet. Follow the steps below:
1. With AutoDEPOMOD closed, for a site called sitename back up the file sitename-FFMTv3.0.xls. Then rename this file to the following: sitename-FFMTv3.0(v2).xls. 2.
Open both sitename-FFMTv3.0(v2).xls and the file
sitename-FFMTv3.0.xls which is compatible with AD version 3 in Excel 3. Arrange these two workbooks in ExcelTM
so they are next to each other (Arrange - Vertical) and the Cage Layout
sheets are showing. The only difference between these sheets in terms
of input data is the size of the grid (x) and (y), which
is specified in the new version (Grid Size (m) x/y in cells R36
and R37).
sitename-FFMTv3.0.xls for AutoDEPOMOD version 3 (right), allows the user to specify Grid Size (m) in cells R36 and R37.
4. Copy across all the relevant information from one sheet to the other: - current meter information (if necessary) - Group 1, 2 and 3 information on number of cages, cage position and size. - move the grid around until the desired grid origin is obtained 5. Specify the size of the grid (cells R36 and R37) 6. Save
the changes and place this file in location C:\SEPA
Consent\DATA\sitename. Its name should be sitename-FFMTv3.0.xls. 7. If the grid size has been changed, modify the file sitename.ini in location C:\SEPA Consent\DATA\sitename\depomod\gridgen so that it contains the correct grid limits. 8. AutoDEPOMOD version 3 will now run with this file. 9.
It is necessary to respecify input data such as SFR, stocking density
and AutoDistribute in AutoDEPOMOD - this will update the new FFMT file.
